Wired Magazine and G4TV both reported that teenage hacker James Robert Black Jr, better known by his online sobriquet Defiant, was indicted by a federal grand jury this week for his role in temporarily redirecting Comcast’s traffic. Rather than hack Comcast’s server’s, Defiant and his partners hacked Comcast’s DNS server. A copy of the full indictment is here.
StickyDrama got a chuckle out of Defiant’s quote, which curiously was not printed in Wired: “I slept in my clothes, because the last time they came, I was in my underwear with my dong hanging out and shit.”
We furthermore could not help but notice the “shoutz” Defiant made to Coll1er, aka Too Live (whose legal name is Cody Collier) on the Comcast redirect.
Though he’s been trying to keep himself off the radar, oldschool Stickam users remember the days when Coll1er hacked the bejesus out of the live streaming social network, ultimately receiving a Cease and Desist letter from the company. Though Defiant never wrought the havoc on Stickam that Coll1er did, he would make occasional low-key appearances in chatrooms and Lives.

Wow. I don’t know how many new lows one person can make. Sticky, you really need to get over your closet pedo life & get most of all get over Cody. Somehow, you turn a good 80% or more of your posts about him. Are you yourself in love with a minor like the childish bad mother you described Nicki to be?

LOL @ the “anon” above. Of the 340 posts I have written, 3 concern Cody. That’s fewer than 1 percent of my posts. Not 80 percent. Unlike Nicki, I have no prurient interest in Cody. That’s not to say my posts about him aren’t motivated by personal feelings. He hacked this site on several occasions, and I dislike him for that. What, did I exert my pedofag influence over the writers at Wired and G4 and manage to have them insert Cody’s name into their stories? No. He’s a hacker and he’s mentioned in the press—as well as this site—precisely because he’s a hacker. I have never done anything sexual with anyone Cody’s present age (17) and certainly no one Cody’s age at the time he and Nicki began their relationship (15). I also have never said nor written that Nicki is a “bad mother” (although many readers who commented that post did say so.) I rhetorically asked what could be the consequences of her young child observing his mother in an illicit sexual relationship.

Just to clarify, they didn’t hack the “dns server” they preformed a series of social hacks to Network Solutions and reconfigured the DNS Configuration. Basically pretending to be Comcast, then redirecting the DNS to their host. Sad thing is, I’ve seen this be done a few times to other websites – pushing the DNS onto another host. If you play the roles right, and are rather skilled scammers – you can get away with ALOT.
